Sotto App ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Sotto mobile application (the "App"), a space where users write inner notes and receive gentle AI-generated replies. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
By using Sotto, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the Sotto experience:
Anonymous Account Data: Sotto uses anonymous authentication. We do not require your name, email, or any personally identifiable information to create an account. Your account is linked to an anonymous identifier only.
Whisper Content: The notes you write ("whispers") are stored securely in our database. This content is used solely to generate AI replies and to display your history within the App.
Device Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store your device token to deliver AI response notifications and gentle nudges.
Subscription Data: If you subscribe via in-app purchase (StoreKit 2), we receive transaction information from Apple (e.g., subscription status, renewal dates). We do not store your payment details; Apple handles all payment processing.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymized usage information (e.g., app opens, feature usage) to improve the App.
3. How We Use Your Data
AI Processing: Your whisper content is sent to DeepSeek AI to generate personalized, gentle replies. We use industry-standard APIs; content is processed according to DeepSeek's privacy practices.
Storage: Whispers and AI responses are stored in Supabase (a secure cloud database) and associated only with your anonymous user ID.
Push Notifications: We use Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to notify you when an AI response is ready or to send gentle reminders. You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.
Subscription Management: Subscription data is used to determine your access to premium features and to manage renewals.
Each of these providers has their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We do not sell your data to third parties.
5. Children's Privacy
Sotto is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
6. Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the App's account settings. When you delete your account, we will:
Remove all whispers and AI responses
Remove your profile and device tokens
Delete your anonymous auth account
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Subscription cancellations are managed through your Apple ID settings.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to data is restricted and audited.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or via other reasonable means. Your continued use of Sotto after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
